I'm having some troubles with the EDIC on my 3B/BJ73 again.

The stop position works fine. Over inject when cranking works fine but theres no drive position, it just defaults to stop when the ignition is on. There's no funky chicken or anything, it works as it should aside from not going to the drive position when the ignition is on.

I'm getting power at the EDIC relay from the IG wire (black/yellow) but there's no reaction by the relay. I've tried a spare relay but I get exactly the same response. I also have power to the constant wire for the relay.

I've tried my spare EDICs, they do exactly the same thing.

I have continuity of the drive wire from the relay plug to the EDIC plug. It has no continuity with any of the other wires or earth so I don't think the problem is that it's rubbed through anywhere.

Earths are fine.

As far as I can see the system should work. I think the problem can only be that both relays aren't working but it seems unlikely that both relays just happened to have failed in the same way. I've pulled both relays down and the circuits look healthy, no burnt components, popped capacitors ect.

Anyone else had this problem?

How is the oil pressure?
Check your gauge and/or use a mechanical gauge to verify.
