Figured I would post this finding.

I have read posts in the pasts with people having the edic doing the funky chicken. I have been having the problem for the past month and a half. When I would hit a bump, but not all the time, the edic relay would click several times. Another problem was also edic would shut the engine down when you let off on the throttle at highway speeds when hot. I figured main bearings. But this engine was previously transplanted in there with no previous issues.

So decided to change the EDIC oil pressure switch....end of problems:clap:

Interesting.

I think its a good idea to fit an oil pressure indicator light, this at least gives some instant feedback in case of problems and can be cross checked against the gauge. Good idea to have one anyway as the fuel control relay could fail.

I have a mechanical oil px gauge, that is how I knew it was not the bearings. I checked the wiring first and then the more I thought about it I realized that it had to be a signal to the relay causing the problem as I could not duplicate the problem buy moving and jiggling the wires .
