When I turn on the ignition key, the edic motor doesn't move, I'm getting current at the relay that controls the Edic, but the edic itself doens't budge. I am able to start my engine, so the edic must be in the on position. I'm guessing that the problem lies with the oil pressure sender that also controls the edic.

Can I bypass that oil pressure sender? And if so how? Just cut the two wires, or connect the two wires, put 24v on the wires, ground the wires?

All this is in a 1980 Bj40 with a B engine.
Thanks.

It is a burnt EDIC motor. The oil pressure sender does not enter the equation when the truck is first started (it would not start otherwise). If the oil pressure switch shuts the engine down it's because it's grounded out.

there's a ton a possible issues. a few of the ones I've encountered on my truck : blown fuse, bad ground, seized motor, bad connections, moisture in the ignition switch, but I never had a problem with the relays or oil pressure sensor... HTH... check your connections and grounds... good luck...

if it doesn't work, just install a pull to stop cable, and you're good to go. I don't think we really need the overinject funtion around here ;)

bye,

denis
