My wipers have never (until today) worked well. They've skipped. I replaced the rubber inserts - OEM worked better than aftermarket, but still they skipped. I replaced the wiper relay with a lower milage used one...maybe it helped, but probably not. Didn't want to spring for new wiper relay rods, so just lived with the skipping. Irritating though given how much it rains here in Seattle...
A few days ago I read a short post (by Pluton) with a suggestion to make sure that the wiper blade is perpedicular to the windshield. Hmmm...that kinda makes sense...a few quick tweaks with a pair of pliers and now both wiper blads are perpendicular to the glass. Just drove in the rain today for the first time since making this "mod" and they work perfect!
In a way it's a little thing, but since I use 'em so often and it was a free fix, it's even sweeter. Ya learn something new everyday! Props to Pluton for the great idea!
