Fog Light Switch Part Numbers

90-95 Rear fog light switch-

84160-60040

just trying to help...

84160-60040 is the Euro-spec rear fog light switch--larger, square with a curved profile , for the 91-94 models.

84160-60030 is the larger, square with a curved profile, for the 91-94 models. Mounts above the mirror adjust on the left (stock position) or would fit above heater controls on right (unless you already have the center diff lock switch installed).

84160-60050 rectangular, horizontal switch for a 95-97 (see post #93: https://forum.ih8mud.com/80-series-tech/88916-toyota-fog-light-switch-5.html). Would also work in a 91-94 below the heater controls

Non-illuminated, vertical, rocker switch: 84160-28010 for an FJ80 or maybe a 4Runner, I think--reportedly not made any more (CDan).

The lighted fog lamp switches from pre '08 Scions are very similar and are reported to fit:
84160-52030 (tC and xA models)--Vertical version for those wanting to utilize the switch bay next to the dimmer control
84160-38010 (xB model)
Not sure of difference.

There is also some cheaper <$10 OEM auxillary fog light switches (US Cole Hersee) with illumination: 00550-35976
or nonlighted: PT297-89013-SW
These are easier to install as they don't require Molex harnesses--direct wire.

84160-28010 is a Japanese market switch for two sets of fog lights that can be toggled between while headlamps are running.

I actually paid for one on the cruiser net page you linked. I phoned them yesterday to confirm they had the part. They said 8 people had ordered that switch over the weekend and mine was one of the last orders. The person on the phone also claimed last week you could get these at the dealership but now they are discontinued. Some story huh?

I did find one in Finland from a wrecking yard. That shipped out this morning. I’m pretty sure it’s the forward facing fog light icon but we will see when it arrives. There are two spaces however so I’d like another.

I’m in the market if anyone has an extra.

there is a 80 series forum Tech thread , that shows well and explains a bit less well how you can remove the rectangle center translucent FOG logo icon thin plastic plate , and simply flip it 180' degrees to face RH or LH depending which of the OEM original Front Fog , or Rear Fog semi-circle push-click switch's you wind up finding at the the end of the day ....

- i have never tried this mod. , my DNA-engrained OEM logic to DE-NOS any killer kool Land Cruiser part that found me in it;s original little bubble wrap , made in japan label adorned parts packaging method like you see above ..... never crossed my mind ..

:D
