I have a question pertaining to the front heater louvers for a early fj40. The silver heater is out of a 67 and the heater with the patina is from a 63. I sat them side-by-side and noticed some subtle differences . I looked around to see if there was some threads about the louvers at the bottom of the heater, I didn't have any luck so I thought I would try the forum.. On the 67 they point out and on the 63 they point down. The 63 was an original factory soft top , I don't know if that makes a difference. Also noticed the bottom side vents are different. What year does the 63 heater go back to? I assume it was used until 1965.

Cheers
KevO

interesting, can't say I've noticed that before, now I'll need to look at mine.

Kevo, factory heater didn’t exist til early 65. 63, 64 , would be dealer installed with no cowl vent.
Thanks Brian, That's interesting and also good to know.

No clue.....but those are cool! 🍺

My ‘67 heater is exactly like your ‘67.
