I would like for those of you that have a restored or non restored early FJ to post pictures for me on this web site I would like to see what they look like. I know that they are very rare and not to many people keep them in their original look.

Thanks again
Frenchy

here is a pic of my 1962 hardtop FJ40....... soon to start frame off

JP, I like that plate, can you run original year plates in NC?

Frenchy, here is one of mine. 1960 FJ25 Soft Top. Not restored, cheap paint in the past, after several years I finally have all the original pieces to start a restoration, but it won't happen any time soon, especially since it's pretty enjoyable just as is. :)

Thanks Jim; as for your question I honestly don't know:o..... I live in SC and have a regular SC tag on the rear. I just bought a couple of 1962 state plates and switch them out up front for whatever state I am traveling to... just so happened that weekend I was wheeling in NC :D

Here is my 1962 FJ40 that I picked up out in SoCal... slowly picking up parts and pieces... it did not have a drivetrain in it so I'm installing a Toyota 4.7 V8 with a 5 speed auto and transfer, My goal is to keep it looking as stock as possible but with a late model drivetrain.

Here is my '63 FJ40 when I brought it home and how it looks now. Most of the parts ended up with JP for his '62 resto.

and what a noble sacrafice it was Tony

Here a link to my early 63 that I rescued from a junkyard, I'm sure it would have been crushed by now. Since I moving to a house with a shop at the end of the year I might keep it and put it back together since I already have most of the parts I need so it's mostly time needed. I try to find and scan some pictures of my FJ25s.

Wow...Johnny, that '62 in Saranac looks really nice...the price tag is a bit steep, but then again, it's all there!!!

Did you drive over to give her a look?

I sort of know what you mean...just curious to see what condition it really is in for that kind of cash.

I will say this...if it really only needs paint, then I would keep my eye on it, offer low, and wait for when the price comes down...just a paint job would be a lot less $$$ than having to look everywhere for parts...that would evenually probably have anyone spend way more anyways ;)

looks like it is actually is a 1961 has the 25 style double arm jump seats and the intake whole on the drivers side apron.

but man that is a steep price

probably is a 61 and sold in 62

by the way ClemsonCruiser NICE poser pic...Thats a great looking rig :)
