DUI or not to DUI ??

a streach of Heavy humid weather followed by rain and the 60 wont spark ??
Thought maybe getting an IGNITION TUNE-UP KIT ya know-Spark Plugs, Points*, Condensor*, Cap, Rotor, and an Ignition Wire Set and a new coil (the oil leaked out of the old one under the hood but still works) all for about 110 bucks) might do the trick! Or could it be the Ignighter itself is heating up?? But while the truck is off???
Or should I say screw it and just get the DUI with wires and call it a night?

do you think its worth getting a D.U.I. HEI Ignition Distributor! or just replacing the origional ignition system ?

The factory FJ60 ignition system is pretty darn good and reliable. Give her a tune up and just replace what's necessary.
 
Factory stuff is BETTER than a DUI ignition. O-ring sealed cap, ball bearings on the shaft plus a vent system makes it worth the effort to keep it stock. I had a converted HEI distributor (same as DUI) and it was not any better than OEM other than being able to get parts anywhere for it.
