anyone got word from nick yet?

Im about to call and see if they can just make me one haha.

I called and spoke to Nick today. He said that they are still waiting to hear back from engineering on a price point but do have the fixtures setup and ready to begin making them. He told me to call back tomorrow as he would go and talk to them today to try and push it forward.

I think that if more people called and spoke to Nick and showed interest in this catback that they would for sure get it going quicker. If i had a business and i had people calling every day asking about a product that was in development i sure as heck would get it moving faster.

Here is there number, ask for Nick

This is the same thing he told me three weeks ago:frown:

Lets call and bug the s*** outta him so we can get this rolling!

Updates? Any chance of a package deal if we want the headers and catback?

I have a renewed interest in sinking money into my truck. :)

I'm in on this if we ever get prices and ship dates...

You have to bug/manage nick a lot. It was the same when we first did the headers. ;)

Wish I would have read this when I snagged up his last set of headers today. I would have bugged him about it. This is next on my list, if a BIOR rear doesn't become a more convenient purchase first.

Call him up again and bug him anyways. The more people do the more likely they are to get it produced!

geez I want one!

on another note anyone know where I can get replacement cats at a reasonable price? My cats are fine but the pipe is pretty rusty…not much life left.

If the cats themselves are fine, it would probably be cheaper to take it to a muffler shop and have them cut out the rusty section of pipe and weld in a mandrel bent new section. Since the section with the cats are one piece, any replacement you find will have a new cat on it.

I also should clarify.... the cats are still doing their job, but have over 150k miles on them...
The outlet flange is super rusted, I'd do the mandrel bends etc. if I could find the right flanges to bolt up to my new DT headers and future DT catback... just wondering what you guys are doing or if the cats last a lot longer than I'm expecting...

At 211K, my Cats are still doing their job. ATLGA truck so no salt like up North.
A couple of months later and his R&D guy still does not have pricing for the Cat back? Sounds like it just is not a priority over there. A shame considering how much $ he has made on the headers with us. I would think that we would be higher up in the list as a group of serious buyers.
My muffler is still ok, just would like to do the Cat Back at the same time as my headers.

Forgot to mention, when I spoke to Nick the other day, he mentioned that his kit (at least the one he's planning on marketing) included a resonator, which seems to be contrary to the OP's setup. He also stated that it would be fully bolt-on (no welding).

Interesting data points."Fully bolt on" might just mean that he will include clamps and hardware with the kit, so welding isn't mandatory...but that doesn't mean you can't MIG the pipes together. That's probably what I'd end up doing - I've never had good luck with bolt together exhaust pieces.
