hello, question, we buy a 350 small block gm, with holley fuel control, th400, advance adapter and toyota 19 spline transfer case that we want to put in the fj40 we have (that have a 3F inside now)

the 350 engine come from a firebird (not the original engine that was in the firebird), it's a 400 bhp engine so
question,is the oil pan, have to be changed ? because it's for offroading..we could have to stay in long time in a fxxxing position and the oil could not go trough the engine and pump...

the solution could be to put a dry sump pan ? but is ther another solution and if not , where to find a dry sump pan for a sb 350 gm ?

thanks

If you keep the engine mounted high enough you can do this or get a smaller less deep pan.

I would just go spring over and have no worries about oil pan clearance.

please explain your whole "'fxxxing position...? im a bit confused there...

"fxxxing position" lol !, sorry for this strange translation...i mean by this , a very bad climbing angle during a certain time...why the engine 'll die with a carb ?

With my SBC and a carb I ran out of fuel long before I ran out of oil pressure. My Q-jet worked the best of the carbs I had (QFT, and Q-jet), but it would still die on steep ascents and descents and would be hard to restart. Fuel injection took care of those troubles, never had trouble with oil pressure.

Maybe solving a problem that doesn't happen much?
