Maybe a stupid question, but I've seen driveshafts installed with the slipjoint at the pumpkin and also at the transfercase. Does it matter which end gets the slipjoint?

Thanks, Dan

They were originally up out of the crap, closer to the tcase, but they work either way.

Good luck!

That's what I was thinking. With the slip shaft in the downside position I no likee the idea of the zerk that sticks out sideways spinning into a rock.

CV's have them on the axle end...

I actually always lined them pointing down.. Figured less crap can feed into the slip joint.

Perhaps, but then more crap can get jammed into it as well. Road debris, and mud. Higher stays out of the way more. Less @&@&@&@& falls from above where more @&@&@&@& sprays upward.

No right nor wrong, just preference.

Can ya run the CV end at the pumpkin? Try'n not change out the t-case til the Orion goes in.

CV at the diff is not going to gain you anything...least not if the pinion companion flange is pointing at the tcase...
