If you are running a DC (double cardon) joint at the transfer case, it looks pretty good. You would want the lower ujoint to be within 1 or 2 degrees of perfectly straight. If you are running the original type single ujoint on both ends of the driveshaft, then you need to split the angle evenly between the upper and lower joint. The transfer case output shaft and the pinion shaft should be parallel. John

It must have been steep before you lowered it! it looks inline with your driveshaft. You could probably drop the pinion another 1/8" or so and still be comfortably less than 5 degrees.

Is this a street/trail rig or offroad only? With that pinion angle you may have oiling issues. Which will matter if this sees the highway.

Are there easy fixes for oiling problems when the pinion is angled that steep?

I added a new fill plug on the back cover of mine. Put it a couple of inches higher than original. Holds a lot more gear oil now.

Reasonably easy fix. Thanks!!

If your rig is trail only, your good. That's how mine has been for the last 7 years.

I wish my welds looked that nice.
