Played around with the ratios to compare Factory to Marks/Marlin to Black Box to both black Box and Marks/Marlin. if this box comes to fruition, the results will be impressive.

Nice. I just read through it. Very cool. Be nice to keep the factory case in there. Seems once installed the tcase might need a Xmember and a shorter rear Dshaft, longer front shaft....?

if i understand correctly, this goes between the transmission and transfer case so you would need front and rear DS mods. i was under mine today removing the tcase and, just eyeballing it, the gas tank may need mods to clear the case as well.

So the gas tank will need to go? I don't have 7.5" to work with? Yea yea, here come the jokes

Did you go measure how much room you had? I just pulled mine, and bet there is 8 plus inches down there. Granted I have the older tranny that has been around the block a time or two :flipoff2:

Speed sensor it the only thing I'd worry about actually. Really excited this is happening! Thanks for rounding up the bits and getting this rolling :smokin:

What would NWF need to work on a 442 version? I really don't want to rip my entire drivetrain out just to get better gearing, but I am about at that point.

Two years of a442 production, 3 of a343 in toy and Lexus vehicles. Don't know the exact production numbers of 93-94 vs 95-97, but I think we win...(I'm 97).

That said, the rearmost bolt pattern is identical(same Tcase) so I don't think any of us are left out on this...

The speedo output bonking the gas tank is obviously an issue. Always has been. It's not the end of the world, but people who want this are willing to work around that. If it's an issue for you then I'll politely ask you to STFU, because it's the same reason this project hasn't been chased in the past. And your input/wants/needs arent part of this endeavor and won't be.

I hope that doesn't sound rude. But this thread doesn't need tangents on things people who won't ever buy it wanna discuss.

FYI I am dropping my tank and have everything else out of the way if you have anything in particular (specific picture aspect, etc.) you want to see in the next week holler and thanks again for taking point on this

I have no problems with clearancing the tank nor speedo issues, excited to finally see a real doubler solution to come about. Can't wait to have a doubler in my 80. I know anybody seriously wheeling one could care less about this as there are many solutions. If that was directed towards me sorry you mistook it how ever you did as I'm not the typical whiny 80 owner that have there boners about about solving problems that don't exist.

If you still need some pictures of the floor from underneath with the tank removed I'll get some tomorrow if I have time. Just trying to help, but I'll go away now and send my money north when it's ready.

No! Not directed anywhere. Please don't think that. I'm sorry, Just can't let this get polluted with the same old discussion of the gas tank stuff in the mist of a revolution.

Has this really never been explored fully because people didn't want to modify the stock tank?

I hope this happens. There are tons of other things I want to do first but it would be awesome to have this available when the time comes.

Plus the years in a 100 series. I know that in theory it should bolt up to both, and I sure hope that's the case. I was part of the first batch of Marlin Crawler t-case gears, if this comes to fruition I will order it the week it's available.

My gas tank is already mangled, I'll just remove it and go to a Ford tank.

Can't one just take a BFH to the gas tank to clearance it a bit for the speedo? Magical solutions
