I have a 1972 Fj40 and was wondering if the top part of the door that the glass slides up is removable to make half doors, and if they do how do you do it without damaging the glass and the internal parts.

Hi Zach,

Yes, you can take apart those doors. Just a matter of removing enough screws. I would recommend a Body and Chassis Manual for guidance. Once you lift out the window guide frame you can just lift out the glass by sliding off the glide using the access panels in the door.
