I've done a fair bit of searching and come up dry, hoping there's some good info out there among the forum members.

The driver side front door on my troop carrier lines up to the cab pretty well and doesn't leak water or wind - it's not a perfect fit to the cab but it's pretty good. The passenger side door doesn't align to the cab as well and when it's raining, it lets a bit of water drip in across the top of the door/cab interface. The gap between the door and the cab is larger/wider along the top edge and at the upper corner. See pics for reference. I've heard some anecdotes of sagging door hinges but not sure how to diagnose if that's the cause or if it could be something else. Can door hinges be adjusted in the same way hoods can? Could the door striker also be part of the problem? Any insight would be appreciated!

Passenger door sticks out a few MM at the bottom edge as well. Driver door does not do this:

The hinges are adjustable for some play. You can get into the gap between the fender and body, loosen the bolts (with someone supporting the door) and pull the door outward, then re snug them to test the fit.

I'll give that a try - thanks!

If there is not quite enough adjustment to make it 100% to what you want, you could also try to take it by a bodyshop to 'tweak' it. They usually have a ig handled tool they hook to the door to adjust it manually. I had them do this to my 2008 GMC duramax truck drivers door and it worked like a charm. Definitely exhaust the adjustments first as this does not stress the hinges and mounts at all.

Yes. Each side of the hinge has adjustment for one axis. One hinge side will adjust up/down, the other hinge side will adjust in/out.

And yes, @Rigster is right. If that doesn't work, you can start bending things either with the tool or by putting a big object in the hinge and closing the door. Last resort.

I did try to adjust the door on my 73, similar issue, bottom is out from the factory. I have to order a S wrench from japan, i think 12mm to do it properly and avoid scratches. Regular straight 12mm wont work if you need to reach the inside hinge bolt by the fender. search for KTC door hinge wrench
