it isn't the cost that sets me off, money is not a priority in my life, it is the fearmongering, the idea of suggesting an expensive blood test on a 18 year old dying dog. THAT sets me off.
i understand that becoming a vet is an expensive proprosition but maybe start off in a smaller office instead of aquiring further needless overhead to try and justify the higher charging to the patient...
most of us would rather have cost effective, educated diagnostics than a fancy building. "Keeping up with the competition" should be left with the competition since THEY will be the ones going tits up during a downturn in the economy.
