Is there any interest in these rides??? specifically the Cullowhee and Tellico trips?

Will do Tellico for sure. Cullowhee will depend on getting my top finished on the 79.:grinpimp:

i definately want to make it back to cullawhee ... any thoughts on runnin opposite of the 1st scouting trip.. starting/meeting at sugar creek gap heading in , steep uphill "shortcut"and head out to caney creek ; chance for onedayers to exit, and then head up to old bald or beyond by the caney creek trail, and out and down moses ??? we can play trust your spotter on the climb.....that is if you trust your spotter

Oh, I see. Now that you have a badass 80, you want to get creative and plan a trip. :grinpimp:

bwahahaha. :bounce2:

Yea, i got the comment the other day. . . "man, those. . . i mean BOTH lockers sure are nice to have". . .. . . . .

I was like fawk!! :flipoff2:

I am interested in Cullowhee again also. And i also think running the trail oposite the scouting trip would be fun. :)

Even for a 100series.

yes I like the idea of going backwards, camp on top of Sugar Creek friday night maybe?? then head for Caney on Sat., then those who need to can leave there...... the rest us will continue on to Lost Knob for the second night... and back out moses.

We will have to see who is coming to finalize the route, but I imagine that big mudhole would be much easier using gravity :D

Yeah, it will make it the opposite direction, no problem.

Though that mud hole will be interesting backwards. Probably have some front bumper "character" to match the rear... :D

well looking at the Rover guys updated map of the area, there is actually a bypass according to their map around that mud pit........ it is actually where we spent all that time trying to decide which way to go, and I led us the wrong way  , well if we would have turned around and gone up that trail it connects futher up above the big mudhole on that loop we did with Alex on the scouting trip. Might be an option, plust that was a fun rutted trail, I'd like to try it's full length :D

Andy what are the chances you taking off friday, and we can do some exploring before the group ride? There is another trail I'd like to try, it is one of the ones at the 4-way intersection near the second camp, supposedly it rides back up the ridge to Wet Camp gap and get pretty knarly, well that is according the Rover guys :grinpimp:

actually this invite goes to anyone who could be up there early friday morning ahead of the main group, it would be nice to look into some new possiblities trail wise, but i don't want to attempt it with 10+ cruisers, it'd near impossible to turn around if we encountered and impassible obstacle with that many :D

I would like to take Friday off and do some scouting.

It will have to be a game time decision though 'cause I don't know what work will look like.

Was originally planning on getting to the BP at 7ish again but let me see what I can work out...

Where are you talking about? When we came down that steep rutted trail and went left instead of right to get out to the house off grid?

Are you saying not come down that rutted trail at all and go up it (take the left at the fork past the storm damage trees instead of the right we took down) and keep climbing elevation?

I am talking about the steep rutted trail where you led us the rightway, after I led us the wrong way until we turned around at that camp.

Well if we come in the typical way past the house off the grid, and we then vear off at that the steep rutted trail, if we follow it....... it will eventually rejoin the main loop up above the big mudhole. It is essentially a bypass of the mudhole section of trail. Could be fun

Cool, always up for some new terrain.

Maybe I can find my rear bumper brackets and hardware that I left last time. :grinpimp:

Getting up that rutted trail if it was wet (from the off grid house access point) would be tough. No stock cruiser could do that - even fully locked because clearance would be an issue.

Now you on those 37's, that would be a cake walk. :D

Exactly....... like I said FUN :grinpimp: ........ I imagine in reality it can't be that hard because the rover guys obviously made it up that, and they aren't the modified......... but you are right if it is was to be raining or had any heavy rains fallen recently there could be some pucker factor
