With summer fast approaching I wanted to post up my tenative plans for this summers UC events. We will have the usual monthly meetings at Sonic and such places, also we will be continuing HAMO............

What I really wanted to discuss is the wheeling trips planned for this summer, wanted to get things out here so you guys can start clearing your schedules :D

JUNE: At this point it looks like we will be having out joint trail ride with the GA cruisers at Beasly Knob ORV the weekend of June 24th... This date is yet to be set in Stone, but most likely will be the said date above.

JULY: I would like to make another trip to Cullowhee this summer as a break from the heat and a chance for those who missed out on the expedition trip. So if you want to come enjoy the cool mountain breezes and killer long range views, make sure to join our second Expedition trip the weekend of July 20th and 21st.

AUGUST: Last years "Summer Blowout" trip to Tellico was a huge success, I believe it was our largest turn-out for any wheeling trip to date......... So I think we should def. go back this year and make it an annual event. The tenative date for this trip will be the weekend of the 12th and 13th.

Let me know what you guys think about these trips, especially Cullowhee and Tellico....... because the June ride is pretty much a done deal, but the other two are up for debate

I hope to see a lot of you out on the trails this summer

JP - Any interest to squeeze a Richland Gap trip in there??

yep, sure is...... didn't want to plan more than one offical club wheeling event every month........ but a side trip to Richland Gap is in my books :D

Ha. LOL. Leave it to me to always figure in the "unofficial" events. :D

Cullowhee and Tellico for me. Richland Gap too! :D

Hey Marshall, here's your reminder to remember the stereo.

Thanks!

Cullowhee!

JP - As I've said before, we need to try and plan an eventual trip to Windrock, TN to the Coal Creek OHV area. 72,000 acres - one of the largest wheeling spots in the US.

It's not too far from us Carolina folk to plan a long weekend camping, exploring, wheeling.

I'm in. I've been trying to get over there for a few years now.

Fall would be a perfect time with cooler weather and purty leaves!

Anybody up for some NC mountains trout fishing / wheeling the Monday and Tuesday after David's BBQ (July 3 and 4)?

yes....

Do I hear a Hurricane Creek fishing / wheeling trip in the making??

I've heard there is an old Jeep trail that goes towards the Madison / Haywood county line from 40 and ends up near Max Patch Mtn. Could be fun if the trout aren't biting.

That whole Harmon Den area is worth exploring.

when you say the old jeep trail off I-40 are you talking about the hurricane trail at mile marker 8? or are the all diff. places???

but yeah I like the idea, I will most likely be at my parents house in Maggie so I won't be far away at all
