I bought a new (used) oil pan 'cause I butchered mine getting it off. But my concern is the gasket seems tall at the ends where it fits onto the crankshaft bearings. It fits like this on both pans. Any idea guys? I have the black ultra seal from Napa to put around the corners, but will it seal up like this. Thanks

Should work just fine...

I would use the sealant down both sides of the gasket in the curved section of the pan gasket where it meets the pan and the main bearing caps as well.

Poser,

Thanks, I was hoping I would here from you. I read your write up and it looked like yours might have been similar. I will seal both sides around the bearings and load up the corners. Thanks again.
