My steering has started pulling to the right. I have to keep constant pressure to the left on the steering wheel. PSI is same in all tires. Front end parts are newer. Where do I start?

Switch the tires/wheels front to back and see if anything changes.

While you are there shake the wheel at 12 and 6 plus 3 and 9 oclock. Check the shocks and tie rod movement. Look at the springs and bushings.

After driving for awhile stop and check your right front hub to see if it is hot. Could be a brake drag on that side.
Caliper pins have a tendancy to rust up and not let the caliper relase the pads.

Yes it can. Look at your front tire wear pattern. Mark them across in a dozen places with chalk - go for a 10 mile drive and then look at the chalk. All bands should be worn the same. If one side of a tire is full erased, or other patterns it could be alignment, bad tire damaged in the sidewall/plies/belts from a pot hole or a curb strike.

What year 40 are you working on? Is it a disc brake or drum brake frt end? Does it pull all the time or only in certain situations, like appling the brakes? Have you checked out any of the frt end components yet? Newer parts can go bad or be assembled wrong.

Will being out of alignment cause this as well?

Sorta. There is only one adjustment for alignment, that's toe in. Caster and camber aren't adjustable. Unless something is bent or a trunnion bearing is failed.

Dragging brake seems like the most likely culprit. Rotating tires to see if there's something there is a good idea as well.

77 disc. Just going down the road it pulls. Brakes straight when they are applied. Front end parts are all fairly new. I need to investigate.

Brake hoses can go bad on the inside and act like a check valve - the pressure stays on enough to cause severe brake drag - can do it on drums or disks. In your case it would be the fight front.
New china parts often aren't any better than worn out jap parts.
The big tire outfits will throw it up on the rack and then tell you what's wrong.

I will add that I have swapped the 2 front tires with no change. Looking more like a brake issue. Are calipers readily available?

I actually have new OEM brake lines. Need to get up off my lazy butt and install them.

Yes, calipers are available. Was one dragging? It's hard for us to diagnosis the problem. We can't see it, but you can.
