Does anyone use Wet Okole seat covers?

on their '40. If you do, can you post some pics.. and tell me how well they fit?
Thanks in advanced.

not me ... as far as I can tell the seats in my 40 are original (couple of slight tears in the seams) ... in my FJC I have Clazzio, which I like and I bought via a group buy on another forum through Sparks Toyota, if I remember correctly ...

had them, fit was good and they kept the seat material dry, but that's all i can say good about them. they faded bad, even using their special cleaners and protectors, tore easily, any slight bit of greasy residue on your hands transferred over and they kept the seat dry, but that means a puddle where your butt goes

kinda confirms what I've heard from FJC folks ... they don't stand up, but Clazzio isn't perfect either ...

I have a set of Wet Okole covers on my Tundra and I am very happy with them. They are ~7 years old now and do need replacing but they have saved the factory upholstery from absolutely everything. The cloth seats underneath look factory new. They are water proof which means not breathable which means swamp ass on super hot days.

Would I put another set in my Tundra? Hell YES!! Would i put a set in a 40? NO, I would rock the factory seats with new black covers from SOR or CCOT.

Funny, I was just talking about them with a friend that was looking for seat covers. While I was abroad, in a sand box on a ocean, we had some brand new 4Runners. We ran the 4Runners at least 10 hours a day wearing armor and gun belts (they rub like hell on a seat). We ran these Toyotas for 5 years. We replaced a few 4Runners due to damage but we transferred the Okoles vehicle to vehicle. I think they were free and we may have been testing them (above my pay grade). The Wet Okole's, held up. They were caked in sand, salt, oil, gun cleaner, and smelled a bit. They looked like s**t. However, they were never cleaned or cared for. Only one seam split (driver's side) out of 6 4Runners front and back seat. They did feel hot and sweaty even with the A/C running on high, but the windows were always down. I have not seen or thought of them since 2005. But they did hold up well. If I had a need I would buy them. My .02

I second the swamp ass.

They do exactly what they were designed to do, keep the upholstery clean & dry.
I've had a pair on my front seats since I bought my truck new in 2006, still holding up good and the factory upholstery is still in new condition, and my Norwegian Elkhound always rides shotgun.
I will buy another pair if I ever need to.
