The purpose of this poll is simply to see if the number of LX units built vs. the number of LC units built within the 200 Series range mirrors membership and activity here in this forum. Nothing more, nothing less.

Not for me. I'm only here to cause chaos and mayhem!

Gotta love trying to put people in boxes. And I'm sure there's some truth to all of that. No shade intended, I'm sure just like the comments above, but how about just wanting the uber 200-series? There's likely a significant group of potential 300-series buyers, especially new car buyers, in that box, as Toyota actually made a conscious business decision to lean that way.

There's a pretty active LX specific forum on clublexus.com. Maybe where the more casual owners probably keep to. Of course there's some cross-over but the the topics here are probably more hardcore versus mallcore?

Speaking of which, it would be interesting to profile our interests here too. We often talk past each other as there's different build goals. Maybe something like "What are you building your car for: rockcrawling, overlanding, weekender, commuter, maller?"
I'd disagree with "pretty active" as to clublexus.com. The 100 series can go a week or more without questions or comments.

The 200 series section focuses on brighter lights and looks to me to be > 3/4 mall cruiser. The 300 series forum has nothing but complaints about dealers raising prices.

We use my '13 cruiser for general transportation and fire road driving to get to backpacking starting points.

I thought about posting that all the LX owners had jobs and so wouldn't be posting yet......

But then I realized I have been posting most of the day and thought I better keep my mouth shut 😂

Got the 18 new as a "my family is growing and I want a forever vehicle, I wanna take them anywhere and never question my choice" kinda purchase. As fam has gotten bigger, LC has revealed itself less family friendly, and has evolved more towards off-roading, rocks, mud, weekend toy. Unless I find reasons to drive it, it sits.

I’ve been traveling for work this week, so have had more dead time than normal.. that’s my excuse anyways..

Hot-take of the year!

My trajectory was as follows;
I shopped 3rd gen 4 runner, then fifth gen v8, then 100 series, and landed on 06 LX 470. This was in 2018-2019 when prices were normal inflated not hyper inflated.

I had to wood grain grip and have dvd in the headrest. You dont just listen to Houston rap growing up without learning a couple things about flossing.

@TeCKis300 MALlcore is probably gonna have to be my new username

I was just listening to Mike Jones and Big Moe earlier today. H-town rap was a movement back in the late 90's and early 2000's.

My vehicle evolution had a natural progression that lead me to the LC. Lexus was to fancy for me and I couldnt get past the grill. I always have to be able to go anywhere at any time without limitations. Speed never mattered to me, i dont drive, I cruise in a mellow way. 89 YK Wranlger 10 years into a 96 Bronco 10 years into a 2012 4Runner 10 years into the LC, and still have the 4runner!

It was a magical time for Houston.

"I stay flossing in that candy paint, Blowin dank, Sippin drank on 84 swangers"

Mike Jones! Who? Mike Jones! Who? Mike Jones!

He actually does have a new album set to come out in April/May of this year.

I bought the lx because I’m cheap and there are more of them out there. In 2018 I paid $43k for my 2015 with 53k miles on it. Lc in same spec would be $50k then, prob $60k now.
My mom is the typical lx buyer. She had had 1 470, and 4 570’s. She drives to the mall and back, puts 8k miles a year on it, gets it serviced at Lexus, and 99% of the time she is the only person in the vehicle. Never goes Offroad, and trades every three years.

This is the perfect used vehicle to buy…but deep down I prefer the 16-21 LC. But Again, I’m cheap.
