Not sure if this is the section for this but thought I would share.
I made this a last year and has been working great since. I won't go into a ton of details but you'll get the idea and if you need more info feel free to ask. I made this oven for under 100 bucks. I got the metal cabinet out of the trash and the oven was a freebie from Craig's list if I picked it up. The only thing I bought was the stone board from Home Depot and fire caulk. I had the hardware. The stone board is double layered. It works great! And I use a thermal couple on my volt meter to monitor temps. The inside dimension is 34x18x24 roughly. Here are the pics. An old locker works good too on long skinny parts. Anyways it was way cheaper than buying a "real" powder oven. And is a very useable size. You can do rims too if you make a stand.

This went together pretty quick. Stripping the oven took the longest just to separate what I needed. The older the oven the easier it seems. I've made two other ovens since for friends. Good luck and enjoy. For the cost of the initial set up fee at a powder coater you can now do it yourself.

Looks like a mini gun barrel...

WOW! That will stop 'em at the gate.

Lol. That's what I said after I installed them. Followed by... And good luck with those ill watch for you on the news. Lol

But ya the oven has held up and worked great. The only thing you might notice and take caution with the electrical Was at first bake the stone board released a lot of moisture. I was like what the hell is leaking?..lol

Common sense. I love it. My wife gives me grief about some of my modified tools, till she uses them. I have been thinking about the DIY powder coating for sometime. I might have to steal this idea. Nice work

Lol. Thanks and you don't have to steal it. You can have it. I was hoping people would find this as useful as I have. The price of "real" powder coat ovens are obnoxious. Even the ones with Plc electronics shouldn't cost what they do for what they are. Enjoy and be safe. And make sure it's not too close to anything flammable. The outside does get hot after a few cycles.
Oh and a tip for those that haven't powder coated before. Prebake the material before spraying with powder to pull out the moisture in the part. Then coat and bake.
