Distance to bumper (1 Viewer)

Hello friends,

Picked up this restored BJ42 a few years ago and never liked the huge Bullbar. I've noticed that it appears they welded extensions to fit the bumper. Is it me or is it a few inches further than stock?

My plan is to put stock back on. Looks like I'll need to cut.

Based on the spring perch, it's not by much.

I believe mine is at least 2" out.

Better view...matching up the holes, it's not by much...most of the difference seems to be than the round tube sits forward of the end of the frame, where a factory (or channeled replacement) sits flush with the end and wraps back over.

Yes I agree. But looks like alot of extra plating and welding on mine to support bumper.

Agreed - they seemed to replace the outer "U" bracket with their own, then also filled in the gap in the front of the rail where the upper V plate would normally cover.

Looks like I'll need a landcruiser shop to fix it as OEM
