I'm getting asked all the time if there are good powder coat options that I'm aware of in certain areas.
I figured this would be a good place to post up.
If you guys with dissent bumpers and even people without have had them coated to post up the coaters name and location, cost of what you paid and if you were happy or not with the job preformed. If we could get a list of verified coaters that could be extremely helpful for new customers.
I will save a few posts at the top and start a list.
Also pics and the color you used may help some folks decide on a color as well.
Thanks!

Evo Gray - the closest match to the OE gray trim we could find;
Black for the ribs and hardware - yeah, they powdered every nut, bolt, washer:

My bumper is on order but will have it done at North County Powder Coating in northern San Diego County. I have had several items coated there on multiple trucks and motorcycles. They do an awesome job at a reasonable price.

Hotcoat "Black Diamond Metallic" - an effort to match the grey cladding on the LX

Did you do EVO gray too?
No, after ordering about 30 samples from prismatic i went with Galaxy Grey. I thought the EVO would be a little too dark for the lighter cladding on the earlier LXs. In the end the Galaxy Grey actually ended up a little lighter then the cladding. It’s not too bad but it’s definitely not a perfect match. If I did it again I would go EVO. That’s what I get for trying to be different:meh:

I like the color in the picture. I've got a Cypress Pearl LX, and want to do something other than black. It doesn't have the gray cladding so I could go with any shade of gray. Do you have a side view of it?

Here is another angle. Judging by the look on my wife’s face I believe she was not impressed with me taking photos at the gas station 20 hours into the drive home from HIH8:)

I used the coating source in Houston. Communication was great and they had a bunch of samples on hand.

About a two week turnaround.

I did have an issue where corrosion was starting to form on the welds inside the wings, was told that a Faraday effect when coating makes it more difficult to get coverage in corners.

Just had them redo them but this time with a primer first and spraying them hot instead of just two coats of powder.

The corners still aren't great, but as long as i don't get corrosion, I'm happy.

Oh, and if you're in the Houston area, hit up the nut Place for stainless button bolts at a fantastic price. I think ben was supplying them on the initial runs of his bumper.
Gives a much cleaner look.

@benc I used Seattle powder coating. 2 colors and it came out to ~$450.00 after tax. I am extremely happy with the work they did and the finished product.

They did my sliders. How did they do on the bumper? What color did you do?
