External Molle Panels with Dissent Roof Rack (1 Viewer)

I made a rough CAD drawing based on a cardboard template I traced out. But I need to 3D print this to test fit with one of the panels with the suction cups attached to check the dimensions. I finally got a small 3D printer (Bambu Lab A1 Mini) so it will be put to good use on this project.

My initial concept is that 2 of these would align with the lower set of roof rack bolts on the Dissent Rack. (The higher bolts I'm using for the Dissent Awning Mount).

As the suction cups hold the Molle Panels away from the rear window a bit, I'm not sure if I need an additional bend / distance for adequate clearance.

Great work! You may very well have your own way of fabricating it already, but if not, I'd definitely suggest hitting up GA (@MongooseGA) to get it CNC plasma cut and bent!

Version 3 with a slight protrusion. I get my truck back from the shop this weekend, so I will test fit and update.

This is likely doable. It would be great to have a scan of the side of the truck, otherwise it'll be a lot of back and forth for testing.

@dogdaysindurham would you be interested in having your file cut from some steel?

@MongooseGA, yes I would be interested. I don’t have a laser scanner, so I’d like to use my 3d print prototypes first and do a few test fits before proceeding.

I actually got my panels from Prospeed (after checking my receipt). But I think the mounting point should be common with the Ohana molle panel.

I would like to try and make it universal, as I checked my receipts and I have the Prospeed model.

To make this more universal, you can you varying thickness of something like this to move the mounting point up at the top of the side rails in or out depending on the profile of the vehicle. It's offer some vibration dampening and still be rigid.
