I see the updated rear bumpers come with options for rear backup light installation. I'm interested in having better reverse lights and would be fine with something that didn't require cutting a hole into any of the rear members. I'd be up for drilling/tapping a few holes for screws/thread. Has anyone found a good way to install reverse lights on the original bumper?

What size hi lift jack for 02 LX470 with the Dissent rear bumper?
I have the 60" Extreme on mine with no problem as it is mounted at an angle. There are minor adjustments with stud placement, but I found this the best for me. I've not caught anything on it that either damaged the mount, swing out, nor the jack!

I'm probably over thinking this but does anyone who has the table setup have a pic of how you're strapping down a water jug or jerry can? I'm a little worried about it falling off when things get bumpy since there's no edge on one side.
I can show you how not to do it. This was after riding 2 hours on the interstate in the left lane most of the time. Talk about a shocker when we got out of the car.

Those side wing/hoops look very interesting - were they a special request item?

The original Dissent rear bumper prototype had those, it can be seen on Bens 100 in some of the design photos here. I requested the tubes from Ben and had it custom cut and welded. I wanted mine to look like the prototype.

Curious if anyone tried fitting a Yeti tundra 45 cooler on the tray?

the cooler base is 24.5 inches. 0.5 inch longer. not sure if it's a snug fit still or will rattle

I've had this bumper for several years now, and some items that are expected to wear are wearing (gas shock, pads etc) I was wondering if anyone had found a good source to replace the anodized bolts? not that Ben can't provide just wanted to see if I could find a generic source and the size of the bolts in particular these:

Those are just grade 8 (SAE, not metric) yellow zinc coated bolts that will be available at any hardware store. Just take one in and match it up.

So for those that have the tire swing out, do you feel it blocks the rearview for you? I am one of those people that drives and is constantly checking my mirrors (old habits from getting run off the road by tomato/produce trucks coming on/off the country roads) and always have wondered if the wheel blocks the view at all?

Likely when I get the bumper I will get the carrier for the drivers side. But was curious to thoughts on this stuff as I have never driven a vehicle with such.

It blocks a tiny lower corner. not enough to block traffic view. I can see cars behind me just fine.

I have mine set at the driver side swingout.

Anyone here by chance use a dirt bike carrier with the rear tire mounted? I’m hoping this would work for me, and there is a decent amount of clearance between the hatch and the bike. Would someone mind providing a measurement from their hatch to the outmost sidewall of your tire? I understand there are different size tires and wheels, but I’d at least know the ballpark of this being possible.

trying to do some pricing
1400 for rear bumper
750 tire and aluminum table? Is there a photo of this? I thought the tire mount was drivers side and table was passenger side?
do I need to also purchase the swing arm for the tire mount? so extra $250?

thanks

This version isn't made anymore. Look for the dissent no cut rear bumper thread New dissent offroad no cut rear bumper! But to answer some questions. Swingouts are modular and interchangeable. Mount the arms. Then decide which side you want the tire/table and which side you want the Jerry can, accessory tray

Forum can give you some good answers but just go to the dissent website and email Ben. Super quick reply and great to work with
