Thanks guys. Yes a lot of time is going into this bumper system. This is definitely some of my best work and I hope you all will be impressed. The weight will be right around 87lbs without bull bar and 114lbs with. This bumper should weigh about the same loaded with the winch as most weigh with out. I believe mine with the 12k winch and synthetic winch line was right around 155lbs

Question: what's the width of the tubing for the guard? (OD)
Also, are you still able to do the cut outs on the risers as your first bumper? I mean the punch holes instead of the flat cut outs and going small on top down to larger on the bottom, they look really sweet and has the bonus of being stronger too!

The tubing is 1 1/2". Yes I will still be doing the holes in the risers. I'm don't think I will be dimpling them though. It look cool but it distorts the metal and is very tough to straighten them out. I suppose if someone was set on the dimples I could offer them as an option for $50. If you notice it the pic, I made the shackle mounts stick out 3/4" past the bumper on the top. This will allow me to retain the look you are talking about.

Yes I did notice that and I love it! Very stout and very good looking as well! I very much like the lines of the first build and the more we are to the looks of it the better!
Thanks
And btw, hats off to you for considering the HIH raffle!

Ben, I just wanted to let you know that I usually feel a bit of buyers remorse whenever I spend any money. But not this time. Every time I see more pictures of this bumper, the more excited I get. I can't wait to get this thing on my truck.

Thanks! I'm getting pretty excited to see these on your vehicles also. This has been a pretty fun process and you guys have been awesome to work with! I want to thank you guys for your patience. The fact that you guys have not rushed me too much is what's keeping it fun.

Very nice....Not in a hurry to get it but my winch is lonely!!! I also volunteered to go like creepersleeper so let me know.

I would like the fog light/turn signal option but I may be the only one.

Just don't mistake my anticipation for impatience. They are going to be worth the wait! Make sure you throw up some pictures when the first production bumper is complete!

I'm also interested in having fog lights integrated into the bumper. I don't have any clear solution in mind yet.

You are doing a good job. That looks so clean, it makes me want to weld! Cant wait. I might paint mine to color match the paint. Not sure yet if green is a good color to have matching bumpers or not. Do you think the stinger bar is tall enough for round fog lights to fit underneath?

These are what I'm going to use in mine. I think they were $75 a set on Amazon and super bright. Or you can get the rigid industries it the same size.

Thanks. I think any color looks awesome color matched! That's what I would like to do with mine if I can find a close enough powder coat.
What size lights would you like to run? I can make the stinger to your specs. Just let me know how high you would like it

Now that I have some pieces, I'm going to try and explain the modular system better. There are five pieces total that make up the brackets and the shackle mounts. One will be welded to the center section one to the frame bracket and one to the wing. The other two on the out side will be the cap to connect the bumper together. First, you would install the center section with 2 Allen head bolts that will be on the inside of the bumper. These bolts will only be to attach the center section to the frame brackets. The wing plates will then have holes in the same location as those bolts but the hole will be the size of the head of the bolt. You would then, slide the wing in place over the allen head which will be used as alignment pins for the wings. Once the wing is lined up you would the slide the caps over the brackets/shackle mounts and install the 4 bolts that tie everything together. There will no problems with strength! In fact this will be stronger than the original welded version. The only difference look wise, will be the bumper with no stinger or bull bar will still have the two top plates where the wings tie into the center section. This system will be very strong! If someone is set on it being welded it will be very easy, as the cap would just be welded on. But there would be no benefit to welding IMHO.
Here are some close up pics. There will be a strip of metal welded to the two outer plates and that will form the cap.

These lights look pretty straight forward. I'm planning to rewire my parking lights to blink with the turn signal like the LCs.

I imagine it is a pretty straight forward thing to punch holes out of the skins to make room for these lights.

Also, of you guys noticed the tight body gap. I am building the bumper to have an 1/8 in body gap and I will be supplying 3/8" worth of shims for each side. This should give plenty of adjustment for each vehicle.
