I put mine 2 cm above the roof. There is no noise etc up to 120km/h. At 120km/h and faster there is general wind noise, nothing disturbing. Cable went under plastic trim on A pillar on drivers side. There is no visible cable. I put reley and fuse in the fuse box. Led bar is Osram FX 1000 CB SM

I tried it in total dark. It works great. First few meters in front of the hood did not catch the light. (That part of road covers a low beam) I belive because of the position. But ahed its a day bright.

Mine is in the same spot. 1/2” off the roof. Excellent performance. No reflection off the hood.

Did anyone try the brackets on 2013 or similar year LX570?

I live in Montana now. She gets used a lot more these days. She was a road trip rig. Now DD.
haven't tried them, but those parts are pretty similar (between the LX and LC) so i'd be surprised if they didn't bolt up. The biggest problem, i'd imagine, with using this on the LX OEM rack would be that the light would sit about 10" further back on the roof. Maybe that doesn't matter depending on your goals. Also, this could possibly be resolved by making the bracket longer and hanging the light out in front of the rack. That might look weird though, not sure.
