Hey guys
Looking for a way to disable the speed limit exceeded message that keeps coming back when going over 120km/h on my GCC spec LC200. Anyone dealt with it successfully??

Nobody figured this out??

Never even heard of this before. Not from anyone. Maybe that’s something in your region or a Kuwait setting? Never heard of that in the US (we used miles here, but still never heard of anything like that, ever).

I believe so too.. it may be a GCC thing, but definitely annoying for long trips. Hoping someone figured out how to disable it as there is no setting for it

You have to get it programmed.

Have you tried tech stream? In the US you can disable the seat belt warnings and other warnings in tech stream on your own.

Is it just an annoying bell that makes noise or is it a governor? Does it throttle back when you hit 120km/h? Either way you can program that away. Doubt a dealer would do it if its something required by local laws. I"m sure there is some indy guy who can take care of it. Used to be able to adjust a governor manually but not with a 200 series.

120km/h is not even that fast at all on the highway?! Good luck

It’s not a governor. It’s just a warning comprised typically of a few beeps once you go over 120. The annoying part is if you dip just below 120 and then go back over it does it again; as in every time. Several highways in Saudi now have 140 km/hr speed limits but that’s relatively new. 120 use to be the top limit.

Woof. That is annoying. They have the seat belt chime and the back hatch is open chime in the states. You can program them away.

120km is about 75 mph. Most highways here the speed limit is 65mph but that just means people travel at 70-75mph or about 120km/h. The cops usually leave you alone if your speeding over 10 mph. Start to hit 86mph+ your a target. Last time I was in the middle east was 92' with my father as a passenger from Kuwait to UAE. the needle was buried past 120

I can live with the beeps if I have to, but the truly annoying part is the warning screen that keeps coming back nonstop at over 120km.. renders the info screen useless while driving

I don't have a solution, but I do have the same problem with my 2015 LX. I don't get the message pop up but I do get the annoying beeping. That sound is ingrained in my brain. Seems like an awfully silly thing to introduce to GCC spec trucks, especially since most highways speed limits here are 120-140km/h, and you won't find these trucks doing anything less than that.

If you find a solution, please update this thread.
