Just to add info, I just checked my 2013 cruiser using the updated carista module with their basic (non-pro) app as well as OBDFusion. I didn't see any way to alter the steering wheel auto adjust.

Notably, in OBDFusion I could access Network A for custom functions, but not Network E. I vaguely recall Network E is used for some AHC functions on the LX, but I may be getting that confused.

Sooooo

Although not the most intuitive reader out there, after a whole bunch of trial and error, I was able to get this to work.

Huge thanks to @misteracng for the heads up on this.

The more I messed with it, the more features I found.

This is quite the tool and for me a HUGE plus I don’t need a laptop, and can keep it in the truck.

Was able to disable the wheel as he described:

glad to help, in fact all the bi directional scanners for toyota/lexus will do pretty much all techstream functions that most people need. This is usually always more then carista, altough I think some of the phone app based are full featured as well like the Topdon unit. The reason I went with lauch is because I believe alot of the other companies software is based on launch software.

Thanks

I’m going to do a bit more fiddling with this and then make a separate post about it, I think many will benefit from it

Thanks. This could be really useful for a lot of people.

No Problemo!

Yes, i think so too.

1 thing i am unsure of, and cant find anything about if it allows use with multiple vehicles.

IE, you come to my house, i plug it in to your truck, it tells me nope, this is already registered to another vehicle. I have come across this in the past, with other scanners, and the one i have for my Cummins, will only work on MY truck, once it registers a VIN, its locked to it. But i also have an older generic scanner, that allows 3 VINs.

Only one way to find out right?

Gonna meet up with that @dudemancool1904 fella later to check some stuff on his. That will let us know if it works on multiple vehicles, or if it bricks his ECU, causes a massive engine fire, and i gotta flee the scene. 50/50 chance im thinking
