Good catch on year of truck. Mines the '97 Lexus variant. I doubt the door cards are any different than the 95-97 Toys, but worth a mention.

Time for some searching on these speakers...
Did you try Lexus dealership?

I have these Morel Nanos mounted in my truck. They are awesome to my ears. Great clarity and sound staging. Just got back from 2,000 mile road trip grinning from ear to ear.

Haven’t called them yet because I figure it’s either unobtanium OR they’re outrageously priced. I feel like speakers fall under something that would be expensive at a dealer...

where did you order? were they under500 a pair??
Yeah got them for under $500. There's an Ebay seller that accepts offers...

Didn’t put any speakers in rear doors. I don’t ride back there! Lol.

Seriously, the way we use the Cruiser, the rear seats will be out and the back stuffed with camping gear or ranch stuff.

Did add a Pioneer subwoofer in a small custom box under the front passenger seat. Makes all the difference and helps the woofers in the door.

Did you buy and install the tweeters too.
If so where did you put them?

The Morel Nanos only come as two way or three way component speakers. I purchased the two way.

Check ‘em out on Crutchfield.

Tweeters are mounted on the upper door. They surface mount with the little bezels so you only have to drill a smallish hole for the tweeter speaker wires, not the whole body of the tweeters.

Cool
Where did you mount the xovers?

I just threw down for 4 Pioneer TS-G1645R speakers. $60 on Amazon. I'll report back how they do. Still in the market for a rear compact sub similar to the Rockford PS-8.

What I used and got awesome sounds with stock look.

5 1/4 would fit best in front doors; I used shallow mount 6 1/2 hertz and panel had to be trimmed slightly (though you can't see it)

4 fits rear doors no trouble - I used hertz here too

3 1/2 fits roof speakers in back but the inside of the grille had to be cut out; used kicker here

6 1/2 shallow mount sub fits with no problem in factory location; I used an earthquake sound shallow woofer system speaker and dynamat over bracket and inner compartment

I used two compact Kenwood 4 channel amps, one in factory location front and one under driver side front seat.

only reason im even in this thread is Ive blown(with no monster amp) 3 sets of polk speaker so far. I dont enjy swapping in new speakers. if the morel can hold up ill pay.

The Morel's are quite pricey but from my understanding they are fairly high end speakers...I would hope they will hold up for few years. I'm going to use JL or Hertz for the 4" and then an alpine R series 10" for the low end bass.

So, on the line with the Crutchfile online chat function and finding out some interesting information.

Seems as if the Infinity Reference 6532ex will fit in the factory location and includes the necessary bracket to make this work. Factory cover does fit. Not "plug and play" wiring.

Rears are a little tricky- he's recommending the Pioneer TS-6520 in the back. Not a direct fit. Alternatively, he has the Infinity References in a 4" back there that includes a bracket but requires drilling new holes. Or, the Polk MM522s

I feel you are over thinking this, pull your speakers you want to replace and take them to a car audio store or a best buy and find some speakers that fit. There really are lots of options that fit the stock holes especially with a little creativity. Personally I wouldn't order speakers for a vehicle this old online, if they don't fit then you have to deal with returning and shipping. I would want to go to a store with the truck and check for fitment before I bought speakers.

Would be nice (here’s the but) BUT, I’ve got a gift card to crutchfield that I need to use.

Also I know next to nothing about speakers haha
