HJ60 CDN Spec diesel. Dr side headlight not working passenger side works fine.

Checked connections, replaced dimmer relay (24v), replaced m4 relay, dismantled steering column and cleaned swith contacts. Finally found in kick panel dr side large "Dimmer Relay" #85926-60010 12v. Believe this to be evil center tap I have read about but never could find. It was clicking when turned lights on and off.

I am in need of replacement. Help appreciated.

i just had a similer problem but i rewired my headlights 24v instead, and used the adrian stern diagram and modified it. i only use the dimmer relay to turn my highbeam indicator on and off. it was easy and took about 2hours total. was cheap 2 24v bulbs at 9.50 ea and 2 24v relays at 6.00 each some 10gauge wires and 16 gauge wires. new headlight connectors i left all my old wiring in place if i ever felt like dealing with 12v headlight again.

adrian stern diagram?

Gamaman1 - what is the 'adrian stern diagram' of which you speak?

I have had a similar issue with the 12V dimmer relay on my 78 CDN spec BJ40. I was driving down the highway, opened my DS side kick vent and suddenly my lights (recently upgraded to RoundEyes) got significantly dimmer...turns out it was my right side headlamp was completely dead. Rattled the dimmer and it came back to life; the plastic clip on the connector had come undone so zip ties did the trick, hope your issue is as simple.

Cheers
