Why not just use the T-max kit. That's what inused and it comes with a battery monitor and all the junk you need. The battery monitor also let's you link the battery's manually. I paid $130 for mine.

The solenoid for this kit senses voltage and then links the battery's once a voltage is met. Upon shut down there is a delay and it will disconnect the battery's. The neat feature is the battery monitor similar to the national Luna kit. I have been using it for 8 months with no problem. I also run a winch off the aux battery.

Eventually I will install a disconnect or toggle on the solenoids smaller voltage sensing wires to manually disconnect it so I'm not pulling power off the main battery to the aux battery through solenoid on a heavy pull ect. So I don't fry the solenoid with too many amps passing through it.

because this is just a solenoid system, that solenoid is a standard napa part you can find anywhere, so you are basically paying for the little meter thing. From what I read this is not a system that will make "decisions" and shut off your starting battery so it does not get drained. Again, probably no logic in use in the electronics but I may be wrong?

Hold the press...

I just found a NEW painless part #40121 in their online PDF catalog and NOT found while doing search online...

It's the same as the #40120 but hadle up to 530 amps!!! and has an HI-AMP jumpt start selenoid via an external momentary button.

WHile I cant find a price for it, it seems to have most WINCH users covered.

Edit: Jegs has it for $310 http://www.jegs.com/i/Painless-Performance-Products/764/40121/10002/-1?parentProductId=1724761
They state: This item is expected to ship 01/03/12. So it seems to be a fairly new product!
