Why not just use the T-max kit. That's what inused and it comes with a battery monitor and all the junk you need. The battery monitor also let's you link the battery's manually. I paid $130 for mine.
The solenoid for this kit senses voltage and then links the battery's once a voltage is met. Upon shut down there is a delay and it will disconnect the battery's. The neat feature is the battery monitor similar to the national Luna kit. I have been using it for 8 months with no problem. I also run a winch off the aux battery.
Eventually I will install a disconnect or toggle on the solenoids smaller voltage sensing wires to manually disconnect it so I'm not pulling power off the main battery to the aux battery through solenoid on a heavy pull ect. So I don't fry the solenoid with too many amps passing through it.
