So you're repopping the retainer? Once I bought a NOS one from George I realized it should be pretty easy to reproduce...or is my assessment wrong?

The handbrake drums and t-case output shafts are available via Australian sources (Terrain Tamer I think) because they were used there well into the 1980s. Are you selling those as well?

Yes.

We stock plenty of the drum & shaft too. For example:

Do you have the 10 spline drums ? with the 60 x 56 flange pattern ? I looked and did not find on site.

Sorry no, long discontinued and I've not yet seen a good reproduction pop up. Gonna be used there.

I was able to have all the needed parts for the hand brake on the output shaft of the split case when I ordered it.. So the needed parts are available.

The shaft and drum yes, the rear retainer is the tough one, they are discontinued from Toyota hence why we spooled up producing one.

@cruiserdan I have not seen a long wheel base 40 with a hand brake on the rear axle. But obviously they were built. I find the axle hand brake on Amayama in the Middle East/Asia market. Only found these two models, HJ45RP-K3 and HJ47RP-K3. Those two models minus the 3 have an option of CBU (complete built unit) the ones with the 3 have IV instead of CBU. What does IV mean. Take JDM, Europe and Australia out what counties would get what I think is a RHD chassis and cab? What volume would have been built? Have you ever had one of these in the museum?

IV is "Incomplete Vehicle". IE a cab-chassis or a cowl-chassis.

My best guess at the old pattern measures without actually measuring or looking it up, I should have clarified or refered to the older/smaller, not square pattern using 10mm studs. I am sorry for any confusion or misstatement.

No apology needed John. Just seeking a clarification, in case there was a combo I didn’t know about.

FWIW, I sold an NOS 69-73 drum here on the forum a few months ago. Didn’t know you were looking.
