I just bolted one into my 60, other than being kinda heavy and cumbersome to deal with by yourself, it bolted right up. I am going to have to reroute my exhaust but with a 3fe conversion that was coming anyways. My exhaust wasn't factory either, so that may not be the case for everyone.

I'm Yet to plumb it, also need to modify my sender to read accurately.

The difference between the 60/62 is the pump opening up top. Great if you have a good donor 62 pump and bracket.

I'll be running an external pump, this tank is supposedly built for that.

I should also mention I bought this tank second hand, new and unused but not the latest design, they could have changed slightly since mine was built.

Long range tanks are here from AU and being sold by cruiser brothers.

I wouldn’t touch a MAF tank now.

This is true and thanks for the mention. We have sold and our shop partners have installed the LRA tanks for 60s and 62s. @orangefj45 can give you first hand report. We have been working on a number of upgrades, enhancements and documentation for the LRA offering as distributor in North America. We have monthly deliveries, are building inventory and taking orders.

Our website is being remodeled to reflect the full line, but in the meantime, we can offer info and quotes with shipping if you go to this link and tell us what you want. Request a Quote -

Georg and I are headed to Melbourne for a week of meetings but in the meantime, here's a video about LRA

Forgot to mention - we are selling them for 40s, 45s, 55s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 100s, 200s (coming soon), FJ Cruisers, Tacomas, Tundras, Jeeps, Land Rovers/Range Rovers, etc. - you get the idea.....:)

when I got mine (62) from maf it went in fairly easy doing it myself but I did have to enlarge the two front mounting holes to get the bolts to screw in properly. extending the sending unit took me some time trying to measure and fit several times to get it right. as for a 60 I don't know have a clue.

go on.... details? any pics? any install success stories?

I installed MAF’s tank in my 62 Years ago. It all was straight forward, yes had to mod the fuel pump. Intalled single-handed in my side yard. I had no shop at the time. I backed up onto ramps, dropping tho oem tank using gravity assist. Getting the new tank in place took some ingenuity; I pulled it into place using two ratchet straps. It was a PIA, but no real hangups or surprises.

I went to the website but no pics or description of the long range fj62 fuel tank?
Reading comprehension for the win.... Ward said their site is getting reworked so they dont have the LRA info up yet, but to use their Request a Quote form for more information.

@gregnash wins a set of Terrain Tamer brake pads for the front of BeBe or Betty - his choice. Just do the Request A Quote thing and we will ship them out - you won the reading quiz.... :) Request a Quote -

Also, the current price list is attached and the tank is shown below. Here is the link to LRA site for that kit. Toyota Landcruiser HJ60, Toyota Landcruiser FJ60, Toyota Landcruiser HJ62, Toyota Landcruiser FJ62 150L Replacement

We are doing a pretty big site/store remodel and Georg @orangefj45 and I will be in Melbourne for a week. Will get it done as soon as we can. Apologies for any inconvenience or frustration.

The price shown ($1,445) is FOB Stockton, so motor freight from our warehouse is extra. We are taking orders for air and sea delivery - sea freight get a $200 reduction.

Finally - I won't crap up this thread any more, but will ask folks to take any comments on our offerings to this vendor thread LONG RANGE TANKS FROM CRUISER BROTHERS & LRA

Similar experience on my 60. Pleased with the results. Added pix of the extended fuel tank float modification, the tank with hoses and the mounting bolt issue solution.

I'm gonna go for it. I'll have a FJ62 OEM fuel tank and fuel pump for sale whenever I do the swap and plumb it all.

I managed to get a used tank from a 62 to fit into my 60. The price was right, I removed it from the wrecked truck for
$300 Can. It had a brand new high volume in tank pump for a high output GM small block V8, the wiring from what I can see
caused the fire and subsequent death of the truck. The tank had 85 litres of gasoline in it when we drained it. The installer had
dropped a small magnet right at the bottom by the fuel pick up to gather any kind of metallic debris. It was a bit fuzzy, but not bad with
crud.
The tank is very well made, nice internal baffling. I removed the pump as not needed for my 12HT, so I just modified the pick up and found a separate screen from a used BJ74 tank. The sending unit had been lengthened and when I plugged it into my truck for a test it works.
I was planning to ad pics today of the removal of the old and install, but a bug has me laid up today and looks like it's tomorrows project.
Pics for now, I've written tank dimensions in paint pen on the tank, just as an FYI as I wasn't sure of manufacturer or volume initially.

The mounting hardware is simple and utilizes the factory holes. I think the difference between a tank for a 62 is the recess on the top for the pressure pump that fits into the tank. If you got it for a 60 which didn't need the high pressure pump then you got the two lines out the front that were pick up and return. You wouldn't want to confuse them, as one probably doesn't have a screen on the end.
I took a pic of the interior with cell phone to see how the sending unit was positioned, kinda cool to see inside the tank.

Anyhow, hope these pics help you out. It took me 20 minutes to remove the tank, I expect aside from sorting vents and ensuring the
filler tube hose is usable or in need of replacement will be the only hold ups in installing it into my truck.
FYI, I've been told that removing a factory tank is a bit of a bugger, they need to be finessed a bit so the side flanges clear the frame.
