difference between diesel and gas a/t,help

can anyone out there tell me if a gas engine 62 tranny will work in a 60 diesel ,have a 62 with low a/t and a hj 60 with a/t issues looking to swap them. much appreciated.

Yes, they are interchangable but you will need to use the bellhousing and torque convertor off the diesel
