Difference between 60 and 62 consoles? (1 Viewer)

Whats the difference? I have a new 62 that has a gray interior, but PO had installed a brown console. He included a gray console with the sale. Is there a difference between a 60 and 62 center consoles? The installed brown one has the little coin holders broken out or removed, and no rear heater switch. The "spare" gray one has the coin holders there and the switch for the rear heater blower (I suppose thats what the switch is for).

They are pretty different visually... Just in shape alone. Are you sure the grey one is from a 60, and not a 62?

the 62 was designed to hve the rear seat heater under it, the 60's did not (heater under passenger seat)

I believe the late model 60's (like my 87) have the same console. I could be wrong though.
I know the earlier 60's have the squatty one.
