I am, like many others, rising the diff and gearbox breather hoses to a higher point. But I notice that the factory valves at the end of the hose is closing on outside over-pressure. I assume this is to prevent water to enter the system if the valves should be submerged.
But is this sensible? This means that the diffs will not suck air in, just blow out. In a situation where the diffs are good and warm and you drive into cold water this will cause an underpressure in the diffs and water might be sucked in trough the seals. Is this a possible scenario?
And when rising the valves to 110 cm above ground the valves should not be necessary.
