Beat the crowd in an early Monday local ride. Still a lot of snow above 8000ft!
Wow what a view!
Got out this morning for an 11 miler. Added a bit extra to the loop as the cool dry air kept me feeling good. Felt strong all through the loop. Rest day tomorrow, out on Friday.
Quick ten miler with Emma and Chelsea. We call these “Chelsea Recovery Rides” since she’s recovering from her third knee surgery in 2 years.

Got bored and flew up to see crankworx last weekend. Slopestyle is something else to see in person.
Quick 8+ miler this morning. I’ve been on a spin one day ride the next day kick, and to my surprise, instead of being tired on the bike, my stats have improved. Mainly heart rate. I’ve been keeping the speed up, while running a lower bpm. In theory, if I maintain my previous bpm, I’ll be much faster. The real issue is the trail is too twisty to go even faster.

Attempted my first century yesterday. Got caught in not one, but two heavy downpours. After hanging out under an overpass for a little over an hour decided it best to call it and just get home. Lot’s of high water on roads and bike paths on the way back, even up past the bottom bracket at one spot!

It’s so easy here in Salida. Literally on epic single track in 8 mins from my truck. How can I not go back out….
Not a bad day of initial single track riding in Salida…. Taking tomorrow off for some Cruiser work. Hope to be riding again Thursday.
