This last weekend we missed the turn for Crystal Mills and road 314 and (I really wanted to do the basin loop anyway) and did the road 315 up and around Sheep Mountain and behind the Maroon Bells and dropped in past the narrows (holy crap) and connected to Schofield Pass road (314) and down to Crystal City.
The trail was dry on the climb up the stuff that would suck if it was wet but we clicked the lockers anyway.
the old LC did great. my wife took some snaps but we kinda kept on rolling so we could hit the music festival and eat (we did bring snacks but) not knowing the full time to loop we did not loiter.
