They are not the old "vastly superior to anything" Norseman thread design that the original Cepek tires were, but they still look like they would be "self cleaning" better than most of the other tires out there ???

that brings back memories, I had Fun Country tires on an old 79 I owned way back in 1986. A few years later on a different 79 I had Armstrong Norseman's. Both seemed to work well in the snow in Northern NY.
a friends dad had Norseman's on a fullsize Blazer and they ran the beaches in Montauck.

Yep, the Norsemans would go down into the mud/snow/sand, grab a hand full, then "self clean" throw it out a few dozen feet behind the rig

I put my first set of Norsemans on my K5 before I took it to Rubicon in 1983.

I’m old.

I put my first set of Norsemans (from Cepek) on my Cruiser in 1973, my first set of “real tires”.

I must be older...
