Oy yeah the humidity is the killer for sure, not a big heat person myself, but damn, humidity just makes it worse hehe :D

Hope you're hiding in some AC :D

You need to come to Phoenix in July and August. Then it will feel cool when you get home. You park a soft top cruiser out here a couple of summers and you will be driving topless. The sun will eat a top up that fast.I will be out of town all weekend where the high will be 80 degrees with a chance of rain all weekend. There are spots in AZ that are good for cruising in the summer. Phoenix isn't one of them.

I bet you can't wait to get it back. It going to be like a brand new FJ40:cheers:

I do like the dry heat, but anything over a 100 kills me :D

Hopefully i be rolling around next week, fingers crossed :D

Pintle found!

Still have not found a pintle hook that matches the bolt pattern on the back, i might have to make some modification down the road or keep searching :D

A small military trailer would be cool down the road ;)

Oh come now! U.S. Army surplus pintle fits mine perfectly. I got it from an online surplus place in P.A. I will look around and let you know.

Ta Da!!

Pintle Hitch [218701] - $35.00 :: Colemans Military Surplus LLC - Your one-stop surplus store with Army/Navy products for hunting gear, camping gear, emergency products, and survival products

yeah i bought and resold a few dif pintles trying to find one that matched ( all had slight dif bolt patterns )

I guess i need to find just the right one, or weld and reinforce the rear for one i have

Pintle

I got mine from Colemans and it did bolt right up with my metric bolts. These are the same holes my ball hitch fits too. Would you like measurements?

that would be awesome man :D

measurements from center of hole left right and top bottom :D

Maybe my cruiser was drilled for something dif, or the pintles were for some other vehicle...

Im thinking you could probably straighten that fork out...but you can get new ones still from Yota I believe. That sucks wonder why it got all twisted up?

yeah i dunno man, it is pretty burly steel , but looks like it was mangled at one point in time.

I figure since the whole engine and clutch kit are new, why not make this bit new, ordered a new one form toyota :D
