Thanks man :D

Was baked in an oven and cleaned, then replaced the inner gasket, new hardware and studs and then reassembled and machined :D

The paint coating is a high heat ceramic/silica manifold paint, cures with heat.

:D

I LIke IT!

thanks man :)

Something kinda interesting i heard from the engine shop owner

there is a little piece of tin on the exhaust manifold that drops and wraps over the top ( circled in red, you can see the little piece on the bottom )

He was saying those where usually set up for an automatic choke or something, that as it heated up it would unchoke etc...

not sure if that is true for cruisers, but it was interesting, anyone can verify>//?

Dunno. Nothing like that on mine, or in the next couple years that I could find. Anyway, no automatic chokes for years in the future.

Automatic choke

When I replaced the carburetor on my '57 Chevy (mostly stock) the new one had the automatic choke, so I fabricated something similar to what you have there.
The tube is slipped through a hole in the sheet metal and transfers the heat up to the choke.

Sweet!

quick question!

do you all usually install the motor with the transfer case attached and try to line it up that way?
( ie lower it in with motor + bellhousing + transfer case? )

Just curious

Cooo

Works both ways, with and without. As long as you have at least 4 hands to guide things it's fine. It's also not that hard to do the clutch, tranny and trans after engine installation, especially if you have a lift and a good tranny jack.

right on :D

The dude that is installing the motor for me thinks it be best to stage it all up with the transfer case connected etc, to make it easier to mount it ( the driver side transfer/ belhousing mount it tricky )

hopefully it will all go quick and painlessly :D

Can't wait to see a video of it all back together...and running :D

93F or 34C here, and with 47% humidity it actually says it feels like 109F or 43C!!!

Not for me at all...I truly prefer the colder weather

Weather Forecast: Montréal, Quebec - The Weather Network

thanks man, i cannot wait either, been a long time coming, and the weather is perfect for cruisin :D

Oy yeah the humidity is the killer for sure, not a big heat person myself, but damn, humidity just makes it worse hehe :D

Hope you're hiding in some AC :D
