Denver to Ouray 100s in the Hills Route (1 Viewer)

Hi Stan when you get a chance if you can post meeting time and location for Wednesday morning that would be great. I am guessing we won't have cell service after 10 or 11am tomorrow morning.

Also if anyone needs anything give me a holler. We are staying in a hotel in Denver tonight and heading to a few stores in the morning before Switching over to a tent for the rest of the trip!

Is Red cone doable with an offroad trailer? Would love to join up with the group out of Denver on Wen. .

It's not really doable with a trailer. The descent off the top is very steep and loose, you do not want anything behind you. Additionally, Webster pass is a narrow shelf road with a few hairpin turns that would make it extremely difficult.

The bonus is that we're doing a loop. Red Cone is a one way trail due to the hill, then we'll return via Webster Pass. There is plenty of room to leave your trailer. Many folks do that.

I'm planning for us to meet at King Soopers in Conifer by 9-9:30. That should put us in camp by 6pm.
I will be on 146.460 and CB 13.

Thanks Stan for the trailer info. It looks like we will be meeting up with the group and dropping the trailer . See you in the morning at the Kings in Conifer. On another note, thanks for organizing all of this ( HIH and Denver group trip) . I am very new to the scene and I am very excited to be attending HIH this year! Should be a great time

Slight change.... I just found out today that Webster is still blocked by snow. Red Cone doesn't become one way until you descend down the hill, so we can drive to the summit and then turn around if the pass is blocked. Not a big deal, but it's nice to drive over the top and down the hill. We'll discuss it in the morning. See you on the trail!
