The free information that other members supply, that a web site owner can attach advertising to for revenue. You made my point. I've been in the web business since 1997 I fully understand the costs involved in maintaining a website of this size... I have no issue with monetizing user generated content.
Back to my post, I think the benefits of enabling users to contribute (visa vi edit function) far out ways any downside an occasional fubar user generates. In terms of of silver stars, the inference is if you pay you get to be in a better club.
