Now that it has gotten colder out I noticed my RPMs were up and it took some time for my truck to switch into 5 and 6th gear. I did a search and found in the 80-series section that this is the design of it as its supoosed to aid in the warm up process. Is this also true with our 200 series? My truck is a 2011 with 1600 miles on it, thanks.

Have a 13 with 7500 miles and haven't noticed the delayed shift into 5 or 6! Maybe it's just your low 1600 miles still in the breakin??

What is cooler? It's normal until the trans temp reaches approximately 85/90*. I've observed the temp with a SGII. It doesn't want to lock the TC because when it does - no heat is generated.

It's when it sits overnight and the temp was in the low 40s. (40-43f)
