Hi everyone ,

Im new here as of two hours ago so hello to you all from way down South America , Uruguay.
Drive a 94 LC bone stock with 144.500 miles with zero issues and my driving mostly over landing. There is a lot to see down these parts and you are all welcome to stop by if ever in the area....
Am looking into getting the suspension a new life and from what I read and think fits my needs is the OME Medium weight 2.5 kit which I will be ordering it soon.
my first post so here it goes.....

Another callout from South America here. I'm currently living in Cuenca, Ecuador, and there a ton of cool Cruisers here.
A buddy I met has a dark blue 60 Series with factory cable operated lockers, and almost every day I see a really cool 40 Series. There are also a lot of cool 80s, many with factory rear tire carriers, and some with ambulance doors.
I need a container or 3 to bring them all back Stateside! Really, if I didn't live in CA I would do so, but I'm not willing to put up with the DMV headaches.

Awesome! I didn't make it to Uruguay when I did my trip down there, but its on the list of places to visit!
Regarding your question on which suspension is most appropriate, if you can post a bit more on your plans for the vehicle and how much weight you tend to carry. OME medium is a good budget option but may get you a fair bit of lift if your cruiser is pretty empty. If you end up loading with camping gear then it could be a good fit for overlanding.

Another option would be to replace with OME stock height springs and new Toyota shocks and avoid getting into the area of driveline vibrations and caster correction/OME bushings.

Well as far as suspension goes I do not carry much camping gear , basic gear and spares , no winch , roof tents etc. I am not yet decided as this drive train issue can pose a problem down the road which should be avoided. Parts dont come easy down here.
OME stock height with good shocks will work just fine but from what Ive read the 2.5 lift works without the a camber and drive train problem.
Anybody out there with this lift to help out....

I had a 94 4 Runner 22 R engine which I drove for 15 years.....excellent truck and engine with never an issue. But had for years looked for a clean LC and finally found the one Im driving now which is great and gets the same MPG and by far superior......with all due respect to the 4Runners :)
