I have a 93, just acquired a H151 and all necessary parts including computer and engine harness from a 96 on my trip to Australia.
Upon research the Aussie 1FZ does not have an O2 sensor.

I'm considering a turbo in the future and will use the Aussie computer and harness in this application as its good for up to 7psi. That is the max I would run.

How does the Aussie, non O2 sensor system, maintain the proper mixture?

Is it the MAF volume and temp measurement?

combination of MAF/temp/rpm etc etc sensors and a pre-defined map in the ecu is my understanding
the only manual adjustment is via the Co2 thing pictured below. You do need an exhaust sniffer and dyno to adjust this properly

what is this and where is it located?

thanks

should be at the base of the air filter housing
its a variable adjustment that alters the air/fuel mixture on the AU spec 1fzfe.
Have never touched mine, its set at factory and if you do alter it only do so with an exhaust sniffer / gas analyser to ensure your AF ratio is correct

Could be coil packed also with no distributor. Also the us OBD2 95-97 have a CPS crank position sensor. Not sure if the Australia spec has that.

hmm, this is going to take more research. first ill locate the sensor on partsouq

the thingy on the air filter housing is called a "variable resistor"
